- Rig floor: Impact gloves, met-guard boots, Type II hard hat with chin strap, hearing protection.
Care & Replacement
- Replace PPE after a strike/fall, visible damage, contamination, or per manufacturer’s shelf life.
- Launder FR garments separately; no fabric softeners; inspect seam reflective tapes.
FAQs (PPE)
FR protects from flash fire; arc-rated has a tested ATPV for electrical arcs. Some garments are both—check labels.
Nitrile or neoprene with textured grip; avoid latex for hydrocarbons.
